Upgrade while the worktop is off
New worktops are the easiest moment to change your sink, tap or hob, because the cut-outs are made for the new ones from the start. We supply and fit Prima appliances, sinks and taps, among other brands.
Sinks
Choosing a sink
The sink decides a lot about how the worktop is made, so we agree it before templating.
Granite undermount
In black, white, gunmetal, light grey or ivory, single or one-and-a-half bowl, with a 20-year guarantee.
Stainless steel undermount
Crisp, tight-radius corners for a contemporary look, with a 20-year guarantee.
Ceramic and Belfast
A classic choice for traditional kitchens. A Belfast sink needs a suitable base unit, so we check that at the survey.
Prefer an inset sink with a built-in drainer? That works too, and usually costs less. See undermount or inset.
Taps
Boiling water taps
A 3-in-1 tap gives hot, cold and near-boiling water (up to 98°C) from one spout, so the kettle can go. The Prima version has a 3-litre boiler and filter in the cupboard below, three temperature settings and a child lock.
It needs water pressure of at least 1.5 bar. If your pressure is low, it can usually be fixed. On a recent job we fitted a small booster pump to cure a customer’s weak tap flow.

Appliances
Hobs, ovens and extraction
Changing the worktop is a good time to change the hob, because the new cut-out is made to suit it.
Venting induction hob
An induction hob with the extractor built into the middle, so there is no hood above. It needs space below for the ducting or a recirculation filter, which we plan at the survey.
Induction hobs
Fast, efficient and easy to clean. Moving from gas to induction usually needs a suitable electrical supply, which we’ll check and quote for.
Gas on glass
Gas cooking with an easy-clean glass top. Gas connections are made by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
Ovens and hoods

Integrated dishwashers
Dishwashers that sit behind a door matching your kitchen.
The Prima guarantee
Prima appliances come with a free 5-year parts and 2-year labour guarantee when registered with Prima within 30 days of purchase. Prima granite and stainless steel sinks carry a 20-year guarantee. Guarantee terms vary by product, and we’ll give you the details with your quote.
